La Leche League of Ireland is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting mothers who want to breastfeed or provide their infants with human milk.

About Us

La Leche League of Ireland provides free information and support to anyone interested in breastfeeding or human milk feeding.

Our volunteer Leaders are mothers who have breastfed or provided human milk to their own infants and are trained to provide information and support to new mothers and parents

Resources and Support for Breastfeeding Mothers

La Leche League of Ireland offers various resources, including group meetings, telephone support, and online forums, where mothers can share their experiences and receive guidance from trained volunteer Leaders. They also offer publications, including books and pamphlets, that provide practical advice and information on breastfeeding and human milk feeding.


In addition to providing support to mothers and parents, La Leche League of Ireland also advocates for policies and practices that support breastfeeding. They work with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding and the importance of supporting families who choose to breastfeed.
